XD I love the anguished sound comparison near the end.
Most people don't know what I mean whenever I say room echo.
NOW I CAN THROW THIS AT THEM!
12 minutes just for ACT I out of how many...?
I feel weird for reviewing this 'cause of my involvement in this, but why not.
First off, I love how everything looks and this is definitely above and beyond your typical sprite movie, as far as animation goes with the mouth and limb movements. It's your kind of thing~ I recall the script for this being ENORMOUS and I worried about this being a drag to listen to. In certain spots, it was, but in others, you definitely got a great cast to make this move by faster than expected~
For something with lines and recordings from maybe years ago (I know some members of the cast have been improving over the years, causing a difference in presented skill), the performances as a whole weren't as bad as I was expecting! My only issue is really with the sound quality. Try getting the volumes of the voice actors to be on the same level or at least louder than the background music, for some of the VA's.
With the entire script written out and recorded for already, it's kinda hard to incorporate the writing feedback for future acts, but if you're still planning on a series, try condensing the best material into shorter episodes instead of trying to cram everything in. That way, the series will be easier to release and follow, instead of giving up after a 1 hour pilot.
Yes, i have had a lot of problems with the audio quality. Even when I tried to amplify the sound, some spots were buried in the music. Eventually I'll figure something out.
People have mentioned to me about the script dragging at times, I tend to have te habit of making things longer than they should be.
On questimate, I believe there is another 16 minutes left of 42 Boxes to make. It's hard for me to make tiny episodes, but I know my biggest concern is the fram limit. Most likely I might have to move some scenes to the credits, and also possibly cutting something, mostly the anchorman, since i figure that was my original problem with the flash.
I'll have to work something out.
Get those medals fixed!
The Final Curtain and Spice of Life medals appear to be broken for me, as I've killed 10+ people a few times (and I see that a few other people who claim to have killed 10+ people don't have the medal) and possessed/used every single item in the house in each play through in hopes of getting those medals. The game gets less fun as I replay it whenever I don't achieve anything after talking half an hour or so to do everything.
Really cute game though and I like how the possessing objects get more and more neat and spooky as the floaty feller gains more spiritual clout~ Or, as spooky as it gets for a cute game like this! My favorite items to possess are the beds, the birdcage, bathtub, and mirror.
As for the ghost... The cooing "boo" is the absolute cutest "boo" I've ever heard. The flowy tail effect is neat too~ My friend wishes he knew how to make it!
I lurve the concept~
While the level of challenge was tricky and dying is a matter of merely touching something, I really like the easy controls and the innovative concept. Watching the speed run showed all the insane details you've put in hell and how it's possible to surpass them despite how easy it is to get killed (by unforeseeable obstacles, especially). Overall, I like this game, though the challenge might be steep to most.
Voting lower might've been more fair.
Why do I feel as though the dancing pirates were directly stolen from another flash out there, particularly from a SheezyArtist... For what it is, which is a joke, it's so-so since it looked legit-ish leading up to it, but despite my love for the original dancing pirates flash... Eugh.
Yep, i stole it. Didn't know what else to put there.
I miss your stuff.
This DEFINITELY sounds like something that'd be in the show Motorcity!
I... I'm gonna cry...
it's like this TOUCHES ME IN ALL THE RIGHT PLACES~~~ OOOHHHH~~
i totally meant my SOUL 'cause it's so DEEEP
Sensational!
I KNEW it reminded me of Bitey somehow!
Like I said on dA, I really love the details and coloring~ The stance is pretty neat too.
O_O; !!
It was disturbing enough when I saw this as a thumbnail. It was scary when I saw this the way it is in the frame. I felt like Black Ace was going to do evil, horrible, frightening things to my computer when I looked at it in full size. You know what? The intensity does more than that. It feels like getting up close and personal with the kind of character you'd want to get away from and this piece conveys that very well.
Very, very well done.
YAY~ FEMME BLU SCOUT~<3
This is definitely one of the better femme scouts out there 'cause I have this personal petpeeve in regards to slutty TF2 femme classes and you managed to pull off a very attractive femme scout without resorting to cheap methods like huge boobs, extreme leg-showage, skirts, and what have you.
I admittedly have a ways to go with proportions myself, but I do have to say that the head size is a bit iffy to me, as others have mentioned. The focus is noted, her face is the prettiest part about her, but I did a double-take as I got to her arms and wrists, since her lithe build unintentionally draws focus to the size of her head in relation to the rest of the body, if that makes sense.
Anyways, much love 'cause the scout is my favorite character and BLU is my favorite team~<3
