Not an anime character, but I really do enjoy Gwen's voice, from Guild Wars.
I don't know of too many places other than the game itself to hear the voice or get a feel for the character, though I found a couple of samples on YouTube:

If I get any more samples, I'll let you know. Her voice doesn't seem that all complex, but I love the emotional pain and plain hate she shows in some of the other cut-scenes (wasn't able to find, sadly)
